Kristian Livolsi at Thinclab Adelaide University

Kristian is a strategic and performance-focused executive with rich experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and energetic leadership.

As an entrepreneur, he has been involved with 76 companies, advised more than 500 businesses, and consulted in 18 countries.

In the course of his career, Kristian has experienced resounding success, with a lengthy list of personal and organisational awards – among them the Restaurant and Catering Australia Young Achiever of the Year, SA Great Rising Star of the Year, and Employer of the Year. At the age of 29 he was listed in the Top Thirty Young Entrepreneurs in Australia by SmartCompany, and was a finalist in the coveted Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

Alongside resounding success, Kristian has also experienced catastrophic failure. In 2009 everything he worked so hard to build came crashing down, leaving him homeless, broke, and suicidally depressed.

Kristian began a journey of self-discovery, and created a shift in mindset that enabled him to refine his purpose and align himself with his destiny.

He quietly built a portfolio of companies whilst undertaking an MBA. It was at this time that he met Lucy, the woman at the centre of his happiness, and soon they would be blessed with two amazing children, Leonardo and Lavender.

Kristian’s ability to solve complex problems, disrupt established ecosystems, and create solutions that are sustainable and profitable set him apart. He sits on several boards, gives keynotes, and is a very active angel in the startup community.

In 2017 he was awarded the title Adjunct Professor and was appointed the inaugural Entrepreneur In Residence at ThincLab, at the University of Adelaide. During his term, ThincLab was applauded for its “rapid growth” and “scale”, with 66 starts-ups generating $189,000,000 in funding in less than a year.

He is often referred to as a ‘Gazelle’ and an ‘Entrepreneur Evangelist’.  He is a ‘Giver’ – always sharing his knowledge for the benefit of others.

Kristian realised in late 2018 that it was time to evolve his calling, so he began building out the Business Growth Mindset. He worked out that the key to his success had been his mindset, and his ability to see opportunities amongst the challenges and adversity was something he wanted to teach others.

He is a transformational and inspiring leader, purpose-driven, known for clearly articulating and defining vision, purpose, and goals, aligning people and resources, and executing and exceeding expectations.

Kristian believes FAILURE is part of the success equation. As Steve Jobs once said, “Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” He has failed on many occasions, but that has never stopped him exploring new horizons. In fact, it has made him more resilient, more innovative, and more creative. Albert Einstein said, “A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.”

Kristian is an Executive Coach and Entrepreneurship Advisor who does business globally, and is based in Adelaide, Australia with his family Lucy, Leonardo and Lavender.
