I have been involved in 80 ventures across 23 years, with 44 successful exits. Don’t worry I know how to fail too, there has been 15 failures, most small but one catestripic one in 2009/10 that left me broke, depressed and couch surfing.
Now, if you are a maths genius you will realise this only adds up to 59. I still lead 5 of my own companies and I have 16 other interests in play at this time. (March 2025)
This means I always have skin in the game just like you and it keeps me sharp and relevant when providing advice.
I’m a terrible gardener, even worse hairdresser.
I am married to the most amazing woman Lucy who supports and encourages me to live my best life, so I can serve others on their business journey. We have two fun and cheeky children Leonardo and Lavender, and I’m a dog dad to Louis our French Bulldog (he gets all the engagement on Instagram).
I know from first-hand experience that running a business is a skill and it’s a skill that can be learnt, developed and measured in order to be successful. Note success is never guaranteed in business despite your skills, talent and attitude. Often it’s the decisions we make that influence our outcome.
